2008 CAMPING INFORMATION
Four Corners Folk Festival
August 29-31, 2008 • Reservoir Hill Park
Pagosa Springs, Colorado
On-Site Camping | Camping Rules
On-Site
Camping
Due to the proximity of on-site camping to the festival venue, it is
only available with a 3-day pass. All people age 13 and
over who camp on-site must have an on-site camping pass. The price
of this ticket includes the camping fee and festival admission for
all 3 days.
Potable water and porta-johns are provided. Showers are available
for a nominal fee at the Community Center (walking distance) on
Friday from 9am-1pm; Saturday from 9am-1pm, and Sunday from 1pm-4pm. The
free shuttle starts running at 8:30 a.m.
Campsites are first come, first served. If you want to camp with
friends you should arrive with them. There is no limit on how many
people can come in one vehicle; however they must all possess an
on-site camping pass.
If you think you may NEED to leave the campground before the show
has ended, you should find a spot just off the road to avoid being
parked in.
FREE Camping Shuttle
No vehicle pass is necessary to use the camping shuttle, but you must have an on-site camping ticket. The camp shuttle is free and runs on Thursday, August 28 from 3 to 8 PM and Friday, August 29 from 9 AM to 1 PM. You will need to plan to be here between those hours to use the camping shuttle.
We will pick you and your gear up in the parking lot and drop you off just outside the vehicle free camping area, which surrounds the main venue. It is beautiful camping. On Monday you can drive your car up to load your gear out.
On-Site Vehicle Pass -Only 400 will be sold
You
must purchase a vehicle pass ($40) to drive your car/pickup/RV/motorcycle into
the on-site campground. Only cab-over campers, motor homes 24’ or less, camper trailers that do not exceed 16’ in length and pop-up or tent trailers of any length are allowed on Reservoir Hill. Fifth wheels and large motor homes are not allowed in the Reservoir Hill campgrounds (please see accompanying photos for clarification). A vehicle pulling a trailer is considered one unit and must have 1 (one) vehicle pass.
Camping Vehicles - Reservoir Hill Camping
The on-site vehicle pass is not a parking pass. Vehicle passes
are available only to on-site camping pass holders. If you are not
camping, parking is available below the site and shuttles are free.
Vehicles with an on-site camping pass will not be permitted to
leave and re-enter for safety reasons. One time in, one time out
-- no exceptions.
The campground will open to vehicles with on-site vehicle passes
at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 28.

2008 Camping Rules
NO DOGS (OR OTHER PETS) ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON FESTIVAL CAMPGROUNDS -- This will be strictly enforced. If you show up with your dog,
you will be turned away with no refund. If you make it in with
your dog and are caught, you will be evicted with no refund. Service
animals are of course allowed.
- ON-SITE VEHICLE PASSES ARE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING
TYPES OF VEHICLES: passenger cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, cab-over campers, motor homes 24’ or less, camper trailers that do not exceed 16’ in length and pop-up tent trailers of any length are allowed on Reservoir Hill. Other types of campers (i.e. RV longer than 24', fifth
wheel, trailers longer than 16') are not allowed on Reservoir
Hill.
- All types of fireworks are strictly prohibited. If
you are caught setting off fireworks anywhere on festival grounds
you will be evicted from the show with no refund and criminal
charges may result.
- CAMPFIRES MUST BE MADE IN METAL CONTAINERS,
off the ground, i.e. old washing machine drums, metal barrels,
commercial-type fire pans, etc. The goal is to have no impact
whatsoever on the environment and landscape of Reservoir Hill.
Use your imagination -- this means no digging, no rock rings and
no fires directly on the ground. Fires
will
be subject to any fire restrictions in place in Archuleta County
at the time of the festival. Propane grills and stoves, propane
fireplaces, lanterns and charcoal grills are allowed. Check the
web site prior to the festival for fire regulation updates. There
are currently no fire restrictions in place in Archuleta County. Bring your own firewood; no cutting on the site.
- No vehicles are allowed in the campgrounds without a
vehicle pass, PERIOD. All types of vehicles require a
pass; i.e. cars, motorcycles and RVs. If you are towing a legal camp trailer (see above) you only need one vehicle pass for the whole rig. Vehicles
may not leave and re-enter the campground. Any vehicles parked
in the campground without a vehicle pass will be towed at owners'
expense.
- All campers must be in possession of an on-site camping
wristband. This includes all people on the festival grounds
anytime Thursday, before noon on Friday or after the show each
night.
- Generator use is prohibited on Reservoir Hill campgrounds at all times. There are full-hookup RV spaces in town, which you can locate by clicking on the "accommodations" link at left.
- No overnight camping in the parking areas.
No
loud stereos, ATVs, motorcycles or fireworks permitted in campground. Motorcycles may be used as your transportation for entering the
campground (with vehicle pass) but may not be used as a recreational
vehicle inside the campground.
- Please leave your campsite looking at least as good
as it did when you arrived. We are on town property and
want to be good caretakers.
- FolkWest is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Campers must vacate the festival grounds by 12:00 noon
on Monday, Sept. 1.
